HOPE

HOPE (Hancock Organization of Parents and Educators) is very active at the school.  We support and/or organize the Halloween Harvest Celebration, the Thanksgiving Day Dinner, community holiday gift baskets, school calendars, field trips. cultural enrichment opportunities, community events, and our graduation celebration.  We are an important group at the school and anyone is welcome to join in and participate.

What does it take to be a MEMBER of HOPE?

Simple, all it takes to be a member of HOPE is to want to nurture and continue to develop a sense of community within our school.  HOPE sponsors so many of our activities that involve the community, our children, our friends, our families.  The committee itself is made of (volunteer) officials and members.  Monthly meetings are usually held on the 1st Tuesday of each month (no summers).

Lunches

Monday through Thursday the children bring their lunches from home. The school provides milk cartons for 30 cents each. Every Friday the children can order one or more slices of pizza ($1.00 a slice), which is delivered from a pizza shop in Stephentown.
Orders for pizza are taken by the children’s teacher on the Wednesday before pizza day, which is the next Friday.
